Description

Do you want to learn to write amazing melodies?

This week we’ll look at how your choice of chords interacts with the melody & how it relates to genre & contemporary writing.

You’ll understand how progressions really work and speed up your writing by removing the guesswork that many self-taught musicians can be tempted to rely on.

Our presentation series with practical exercises covers the essentials of Melody, Harmony & Hook Writing – you’ll learn the elements of what makes a great melody & how to apply them to your own writing.

There is more than enough information each week to be taken as a standalone session at £20 each. Sign up for all three sessions here & the total is discounted by 22% to only £47: http://bit.ly/LSMelody3Part

The series will include the following comprehensive Melody Writing classes:

30/06/20 – Melody & Hook Writing: Melodic Note Choices
07/07/20 – Melody & Hook Writing: Effective Chord Progressions
14/07/20 – Melody & Hook Writing: Supercharge your Melodies with Pitch and Prosody

We will extensively analyse both contemporary and classic melodies, looking at what they have in common & crucially what makes them different.

These sessions are suitable for songwriters of all experience levels – there are limited places available.

Testimonials from previous attendees:
I’ve taken 5 different workshops in the past 3 years & have never seen a facilitator approach this subject with such a straightforward method of analyzing song structure in order to replicate successful writing techniques.
