Description

In this interactive presentation you will learn the essential elements of what makes a great melody as well as invaluable advice on how each of those elements contributes to a balanced whole.

It is the second module of our Songwriting Summary Series, primarily aimed at beginner and intermediate songwriters. Previous attendees commented: “A fantastic talk. Full of useful information!”

It is a big subject and so is split into two weekly sessions but there will be more than enough information for each week to stand alone.

In Week 2 we will summarise Week 1, continue our melodic analysis of classic and contemporary songs and crucially how melody interacts with harmony (chords) via some (essential but non-scary) Music Theory 101.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided free of charge.

There are only 12 places available so please book in advance.

Nearest tubes are Southwark, Waterloo or Blackfriars.
