Update: 12 fantastic songwriters attended our sold out Spring 2016 Retreat! 20 officially facilitated collaborative songs were written along with a few more ad-hoc ones and about 20 solo songs. In 2015/16 London Songwriters has hosted seven highly affordable Songwriting Retreats for a total of 84 happy writers from across the UK and Europe. These have been for up to 12 attendees at a  beautiful spacious converted barn in the gorgeous Derbyshire Peak District countryside. Each writer has rated the experience 5 out of 5.

We have announced a new Spring Peak District Retreat week supported by PRS for Music and BASCA from 27th March 4pm to April 2nd – you may also choose to stay an extra night for free. The 10% discounted price is inclusive of food, accommodation and comprehensive songwriting facilitation.

Whatever your experience, the benefits of attending the songwriting retreats are that you will:

Murray Webster has over 40 years experience as a multi-genre songwriter, having performed at some of the most prestigious music venues including The Astoria, The Hammersmith Palais, The Forum, The Mint (LA) and Douglas Corner Cafe (Nashville). He has facilitated London Songwriters workshops for the last five years, including six highly successful Countryside Songwriting Retreats. He has a Masters Degree in Songwriting, a PTLLS qualification as a Community Music Leader and has mentored young people in music skills for NCS – The Challenge.  His latest self-produced tracks feature on albums commemorating the Shakespeare 400 centenary and a Christmas compilation, being part of a project series featured in The Guinness Book Of Records.
